Local, reliable, honest.
Forestdale sits between Browns Plains and Greenbank, a suburb with a distinctive character: large residential blocks, semi-rural feel, plenty of horse-friendly properties and small acreage. That produces an unusual driver mix. Forestdale customers own more 4WDs, utes, and dual-cab work vehicles per household than the average Logan suburb, plus more horse floats and box trailers. Family SUVs and daily-driver sedans round out the fleet. Being 10 km up the road, we’re a 13-minute drive from Forestdale via Browns Plains Road — direct, toll-free. Forestdale customers appreciate that we handle everything from light trailer inspections (up to 3.5 tonnes GVM) to family SUV logbook servicing to 4WD suspension work — no shuttling between multiple workshops.
Popular locally.
Forestdale's rural-fringe demographic drives a distinctive service mix. 4WD and dual-cab ute work runs heavy — suspension, brakes, clutches, servicing. Light trailer and horse float roadworthy inspections are more common here than in most suburbs. Family SUV logbook servicing and school-run brake work covers the residential side. Wheel alignment is steady because rural-fringe roads and semi-rural driveways affect alignment.
The direct route.
From Forestdale Shopping Centre or the Forestdale acreage streets, head east on Browns Plains Road for about 8 km. Cross the M1 overpass and continue onto Kingston Road, then turn right into Eurora Street just past the Kingston Butter Factory. Total drive time is 12–14 minutes without traffic. Free workshop parking. Trailers and horse floats can be dropped in our forecourt area — tell us the trailer dimensions when booking.
Forestdale customers pay the same standard workshop rates as every Logan suburb. Light trailer inspection starts at $99. 4WD and ute suspension, brake, and clutch work quoted per vehicle after inspection. Written email quotes provided for expense records.
Forestdale — FAQs
I have a horse float that needs safety inspection — do you handle those?+
Yes — we do light trailer inspections and safety certificates for trailers, caravans, box trailers, and horse floats up to 3.5 tonnes GVM. Bring the trailer with the tow vehicle so we can check the coupling, wiring, brakes, and structure. From $99.
I lifted my 4WD suspension — do I need a modification plate?+
Depends on the lift height. Suspension lifts above the manufacturer’s allowable modification usually require a QLD approved modification plate. We assess the modification, quote the plate certification separately, and issue the plate if it meets QLD compliance.
My dual-cab ute tows my horse float — what should I service most often?+
Towing accelerates wear on brakes, clutch (if manual), transmission, cooling system, and rear suspension. We recommend logbook servicing at manufacturer intervals plus a towing-focused check every 20,000 km on brakes, transmission fluid, and cooling system health.
